Lately, there seems to be an energy sitting just beneath the surface for many people, and you to might have found yourself wondering “Why does everything feel so intense right now?”
Even if life looks relatively normal on the outside, you might be feeling something deeper. Emotions might be heightened. Thoughts might seem louder. Reactions quicker. Along with a sense that things are shifting, even if you can’t quite explain it all.
And you’re not imagining it.
There are moments in life when everything seems to build all at once, and right now seems to be one of those moments.
We’re moving through a period where the world feels uncertain. Conversations feel heavier, and there’s a constant flow of information, change, and pressure, even in small, everyday ways. And your nervous system is taking it all in, whether you realise it or not.
And then, layered gently over the top of all of that comes…
The Full Moon…
The full moon has long been associated with heightened emotions and illumination, bringing the hidden into light. Not just around us, but within us. Things we may have pushed aside, tried to ignore, or simply not had time to process, can begin to rise.
Not to overwhelm you, but to finally be seen.
You may notice
- Emotions coming up out of nowhere
- Feeling more sensitive than usual
- Restlessness or difficulty switching off
- Old thoughts or memories resurfacing
- A sense of needing change, without really knowing what that change is.
This isn’t necessarily because something is “wrong”, it’s often because something is ready.
Ready to be seen.
Ready to be acknowledged.
Ready to be felt.
Ready to be released.
And this recent Full Moon was in the sign of Libra, a sign that’s connected to balance, relationships, and emotional harmony. It can highlight where things feel out of alignment, intensifying emotions, bringing inner reflection and calling for clarity. It can encourage growth and release, creating space for healing to follow.
When you combine the weight of the outside world with this natural moon cycle of illumination and release, it makes perfect sense that things might feel a little intense right now.
You’re not just responding to your environment, you’re not just responding to your inner world, you’re responding to both at the same time! And that can be a lot for anyone.
So instead of trying to push any feelings away, or make sense of it all, you could try a different approach…
Try and notice it, without needing to fix it or act on it right away, allow yourself to pause, reflect and slow down, even slightly.
Acknowledge that you might feel a little overwhelmed and uncertain right now, and that’s ok, you’re certainly not alone.
And trust that in time this intensity will pass, and often what remains when it does is clarity, a better understanding of yourself, and a deeper sense of how to move with the natural rhythms of life, rather than against them.
With warmth , love and light
