A Glimmer in the Storm

I wanted to begin by saying that most of what I write comes from conversations, experiences, and moments of insight, with the hope of offering gentle guidance. Some posts might resonate with you immediately, others may not but sharing them can sometimes reach someone who truly needs to read them.

Some days, it can feel almost impossible to notice the positives. The weight of the news, responsibilities, and expectations can make everything feel heavy. And it’s easy to think that finding a spark of light is completely out of reach.

But even on the hardest days, I’ve noticed that there’s almost always a tiny spark, a small moment, a feeling, or an insight that can remind us that light exists. It might be a smile from a stranger, a song that touches your heart, or a small act of kindness you gave, or received. Sometimes we have to look a little harder, but if we try, we often realise it’s there.

We don’t have to, and often can’t, ignore challenges or pretend everything is perfect. But we can choose to notice the little sparks of hope and positivity that nourish us, even in the storm. Those small sparks help to carry us forward, however tiny they might seem.

So today, I invite you to pause for a moment, take a breath, and see if you can spot just one small spark of positivity in your day. It might surprise you how much even a tiny glimmer can lift your mood and shift your energy.

And if you feel called to, I’d love for you to share it here, Something positive, no matter how small, it might just inspire someone else to notice their own light too.

With warmth, love and light

  1. Very true words yesterday I visited a friend of a friend in hospital, he had suffered two heart attacks and is being monitored. He was pretty worried about the whole procedure and what was to come. I sat and talked with him and explained how I had coped with heart surgery, when I left he felt easier and I felt good having helped him. Also started painting today. Keep up the good and positive thoughts and words Thanks Liz
