Reclaiming You!

I have been noticing recently that there seems to be a strong theme unfolding this year, both collectively and within the people around me. I keep seeing it, keep hearing it, and keep finding myself in conversations with those who are standing on the brink of forward movement, or a turning point. So many seem to be in the process of recognising, embracing, or gently taking back their inner power.

There appears to be a real shift happening, not loud, not dramatic, but steady, undeniable, and inspiring. For some of you, it’s showing up in moments of clarity, sudden urges to move forward, heal, and progress, in boundaries being set or reconsidered, or in questions like, “Why have I been giving so much of myself away, while neglecting my own needs?” or “What would it feel like, what would change, if I actually chose myself right now?” For some, this is the first time they’ve realised just how disconnected they have become, from themselves, and their own inner power.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post where I shared that in numerology, 2026 is a Universal 1 year. It’s a year that brings the energy of new beginnings, transformation, independence and encouraging us to step into something new. A year that asks us to initiate change, rather than wait for it. To lead, rather than just follow what has always been done before.

Astrologically, this year also carries some powerful and influential alignments, placing a strong emphasis on coming back to ourselves, living our truth, and long-term change. Old structures, both internal and external, are being gently but firmly challenged. What was previously built on fear, obligation, or self-abandonment is no longer sustainable, and people seem to be recognising this in abundance right now.

This combination of universal energy, along with the gentle shifts happening in our personal and collective energy, is helping to create those moments where we suddenly realise that our power was never truly lost, maybe just misplaced, handed over through conditioning, survival, people-pleasing, or the quiet belief that we had to be smaller and unheard to be safe. What we start this year will lay the foundations for the future. It’s time to really consider what changes you wish to create internally and externally.

Taking back inner power doesn’t mean becoming hard, guarded, or forceful. Often, it looks much more gentle and internal than that. It can be as simple as listening to your body and trusting your own intuition. Saying no without feeling the need to over-explain or justify. Allowing yourself to change and move forward, without needing anyone else’s permission or approval. Choosing rest instead of pushing on, living by your own truth, accepting help instead of struggling, and choosing yourself again and again.

Once you remember who you are beneath the roles, the expectations and the stories, the path forward begins to reveal itself, quietly, steadily, and with a deep integrity.

Inner power is not something we have to create, it is something we remember. And when we do, everything begins to shift from the inside out.

Let me know your thoughts, have you felt or noticed this energy too?

With warmth, love and light
